Kunstnacht – DMT Loods, ‘s-Hertogenbosch (2009)
Conceived for a drive-in exhibition, this installation questions the inviolability of the artwork. Reusing the cast of my own body, I placed a marshmallow copy of myself in harm’s way. I am already down on the floor, apparently there has been an accident, with a papier-mâché Barbie as a concerned or consoling passer-by. A careless driver might run me over but surveillance cameras are monitoring the site and any hit and run would certainly leave a marshmallow tire track.
