DMT Loods, ‘s-Hertogenbosch (2013)
All artists in the DMT Building in ’s-Hertogenbosch together constructed an island in the middle of one of the halls and then flooded the enormous space. Special boats are being used to ferry visitors to the island, where they can get a drink at the bar or chat on the beach all night. A band is playing live music, a projection of a full moon slowly moves across the wall. The Island is a refuge for the arts in times of ruthless budget cuts.
